The newspaper “…” printed the first article about the “8th International Artist’s Books Triennial Vilnius 2018” in Vercelli, in Museo Leone in 2019.

Free translation of the article by curator Kestutis Vasiliunas:
“Vercelli. From 23rd of February till 10th of March 2019 town of Vercelli hosts the “8th International Artist’s Books Triennial”. The exhibition theme “Memento Mori”.
International jury selected 37 artist’s books which will be on display in prestigious exhibition spaces in Leipzig, Urbino, Vilnius, now in Vercelli, later in Galleria SG in Venice, in “Evanston Centre” in Illinois and in the “Reed Library” in United States in Fredonia. The first time Artist’s Book Triennial was exhibited in Museo Leone in 2015, and it had 800 visitors. In the exhibitions will be the artist’s books from all the world: from Japan, Denmark, USA, Italy, Germany, Austria, Island, Chile, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, Sweden, England, Switzerland, Canada and Lithuania.
In the official website (artistsbook.lt): the statement of the Triennial in Vilnius: “…project unique non-commercial cultural project, organised to promote artist’s books, creators of artist’s books from all over the world, and to connect galleries, publishers, editors and printers of fine art & limited editions, the greater general public, collectors and individual artists”.
Project are sponsored by “Lithuanian Council for Culture”, curator Kestutis Vasiliunas in collaboration with an artist from Vercelli Roberto Gianinetti. This collaboration puts Vercelli at the centre of the art routes”.

Yes, the “8th International Artist’s Books Triennial Vilnius 2018” will be exhibited in Museo Leone, and it will be the second time when “International Artist’s Books Triennial Vilnius” will be exhibited here in Vercelli, in beautiful Italian town. For that we are thankful to our friends in Italia, to the director of the Museo Leone Dr. Luca Brusotto and to an artist Roberto Gianinetti.

In 2015 the “7th International  Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015” was exhibited in “Museo Leone” in Vercelli.
