Prof. Joseph Johannes Visser has given a lecture at Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. This included a reading of the poem and playing the sketches for piano as composed by himself on this theme.

The theme of Prof. Joseph Johannes Visser was “The Geo Milev – SEPTEMVRI Project”.

An artist’s-book with the complete poem in linocut-prints & the new translations into English and Dutch by Joseph J. Visser, and into German by Monika Goetze of ‘SEPTEMVRI’, a Poem by Geo Milev (Bulgaria, 1885 – 1925), a true modern-European philosopher, as it was executed and published in 2011 in a cooperative effort of ‘carpe plumbum’, Leipzig, Germany and ‘Atelier It Plein 19′ – Easterlittens, The Netherlands. The poem is a cry for a humane society, as a reaction against the violence used by government-forces when bringing down the September-uprising against the self-appointed fascist regime”.

Prof. Hanne Matthiesen has given a lecture at Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts.

The theme of Prof. Hanne Matthiesen was “Art as Communication”. A reflection on ideas, concepts and resources. A presentation of passed, as well as ongoing works, projects and collaborations. She spoke about the attitude of the artist, as part of the handling of materials related to the artist’s philosophy.
