Australian artist, artist’s book maker Janis R. Nedela with director of the Gallery “Bastejs” Baiba Morkane on July 17 arrived in Vilnius from Riga, (Latvia), where he made solo exhibition. Janis Rudolfs Nedela participated in 4th, 5th and 6th International Artist’s Book Triennials. He is curator and Co-Director in the “Gallery East”, North Fremantle in Australia.

During our meeting we were walking in old town of Vilnius and talking about the 7th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015. We found that would be wonderful to show the 7th Triennial in Australia, where are many artist’s book makers. We decided to work in this direction.

With Baiba Morkane we have agreed that would be nice to see artists from Latvia in the 7th Artist’s Book Triennial. In all Triennial participated many artists from Estonia, but only few artists from Latvia. Also we were talking about the possibility to show the 7th International Artist’s Book Triennial in Riga in 2015 or 2016.
