The Print Association Bentlage and the cultural institution Kloster Bentlage in Rheine, Germany, present SNAP, the 2nd International Printmaking Symposium, an international symposium and exhibition program of contemporary printmaking. SNAP is directed towards artists, printmakers, professors and students of international art institutes and universities, towards curators, collectors and art critics as well as dealers and international print studio representatives, who are interested in an intellectual exchange as well as creative discourse on contemporary printmaking. Exhibitions, lectures, presentations, panel discussions and workshops has been organized during the Symposium.
World famous artists participated in the Symposium:
Prof. Walter Jule, Prof. Liz Ingram, Prof. Daniela Schlüter, Marc Siegner and Steve Dixon from University of Alberta, Canada; Yasu Shibata from “Pace Editions”, New York; Katsutoshi Yuasa from Japan; Prof. Ulrich J. Wolff from Germany; Erik Kok from The Netherlands.
Artists from the University of Alberta gave wonderful presentation about Graphic Art projects they did in Canada:
In Symposium were organized few good and interesting international Exhibitions, like:
“Extremly Sharp, From Dürer to Kirkeby” – at Falkenhof Museum, Rheine with such artists like Albrecht Dürers, Rembrandt, Claude Lorrain, Francisco de Goya, Edouard Manet, James Ensor, Lovis Corinth, Max Beckmann and Per Kirkeby:
“International Print Triennial Krakow” – selected winners – at Kloster Bentlage:
In Symposium was exhibited the part of the “6th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2012″:
