Time: 24-26 March 2014
Location: RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, Rome, Italy
Rome – cradle of Christianity, where St Peter and St Paul were martyred, where tortured and killed many Christians. Roma – is not only wonderful city with antic architecture, old castles and churches. Rome – it is something much more than the old “house” and streets. Rome – a city from which Light has come to all Europe, and into the world.
Kestutis Vasiliunas has made the Artist’s Book Workshop in Rome University of Fine Arts, in Italy. The theme of the Workshop was “Mistake” (“Error”) – the same like for the “7th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015”. During the Workshop each student had to make two pages for the artist’s book. The images in the pages were printed from linocut in two colours. Later on the pages of the artist’s book were printed text by letterpress. Double pages have been bound into a book in modified Japanese bookbinding style.
