Prof. XiaoFei Li (China) Workshop “Print As A Way For Seeing”
Time: 6-13 October, 2016
Location: Graphic Department, Vilnius Academy of Arts, Lithuania
My friend, an artist’s book creator and printmaker from China Ph.D. XiaoFei Li gave the lecture and makes the Printmaking Workshop “Print As A Way For Seeing”. XiaoFei Li is great master for creating and printing from woodblock in colour. His subject – woodcut in two colours printed with oil based colour on rise paper.
Students has to create one print from woodblock in two colours. It is good possibility for the students to learn about printmaking secrets in China. How we know, the first prints come from China, where in 104 AD in Han Dynasty was invented paper by Cai Lun. In reality it was invented much more earlier, in 104 AD the paper produced “industrially”.
After the Workshop Prof. XiaoFei Li gave the feedback. The Exhibition of created prints were exhibited in Graphic Department.
Prof. XiaoFei Li participated in the “7th Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015”.
