Printmaking Workshop “Anthropocene”

The New York State University at Fredonia invited Prof. Kestutis Vasiliunas to give a lecture and lead a workshop on large-format relief printing on the topic “Anthropocene”.
16 students, four groups created 4 large format prints using woodcut technique and oil colors.
After the two-week workshop, Prof. Vasiliunas left the university. Students together with Prof. Timothy Frerichs continued to work on the project. Using already created and new woodcut clichés, students created new large format prints.

The State University of New York at Fredonia was designed in 1968 by internationally renowned architect – Ieoh Ming Pei. Even now, after so much time the building of the University looks very modern and beautiful. Also at the night.
